Small African daisy flower crochet square pattern.

Cape Daisy is native to South Africa and is also named an African Daisy Flower Square is based on the infamous African daisy crochet flower.
These little happy faces are an all-time spring favorite, brighten up a cloudy day with these beauties. This is based on some of my favorite in-round puff stitches, mixed in with some treble crochet stitches. African Daisies are known for their abundance in color, so don't be shy about using bold and bright colors. Unlike the real daisy that opens when the sun rises and closes when the sun sets, this little flower is sure never to fade away.

Recommended Yarn for this project:
Lightweight yarn like DK yarn, or double knitting yarn, or referred to by some crochet councils as the 3/Light category. You might see DK yarn labeled as 8-ply yarn in Europe and Australia.
You can use any yarn of your choice, just note that by using lighter yarn and a smaller one, each square and blanket size will be overall smaller, by using a heavier yarn and larger hook, the squares will be larger and the overall blanket size will be bigger.

The example pattern uses a: 3.5 mm / US 4 /E-4 fo the example yarn.
But feel free to use the hook that suits your preferred yarn.
